Huddersfield Textile Training - IT Skills Programme

The MRS Consultancy Ltd successfully managed the ESF Objective 3 project on behalf of Huddersfield Textile Training Ltd.

The project aim was to raise levels of IT skills and qualifications of 1000 employees in Yorkshire and the Humber by utilising the ECDL (both full and a stipulated set of core modules) and other recognised IT qualifications (both basic introductory activity to higher level technical qualifications).

• Research into delivery methodologies to identified target groups
• Development and delivery of a series of demonstrator projects to illustrate and test a range of delivery methodologies
• Signing up 300 companies over 2 years to the project with focus on textiles, business services, food and drink, engineering and other manufacturing
• Delivering IT training to 1000 employees of SMEs across Yorkshire and the Humber
• Promoting and marketing ECDL to SMEs as the European standard for computer qualifications in the region
