Over 50s Employability Research

The Over 50s Employability Research Project is an ESF project, co-financed by the Learning and Skills Council West Yorkshire.

MRS Consultancy has completed the project on behalf of ESF.

• Carrying out initial desk research. This will generate a synthesis of current ideas and policy in the area of over 50s employability at regional, national and international level.
• Carrying out focus group research. This will highlight issues from the viewpoint of both employers and employees.
• Preparing a portfolio of 20 case studies from all over the region that will feature businesses that have experienced the benefits of employing the over 50s. Two of the case studies will be in multi-media format.
• Generating an employability profile leaflet that will promote the benefits of employing the over 50s.
