ESF Quiclearn Mark II
This project aims to build on the successful foundation laid down by the Quiclearn
project in engaging non-learners by seeking to:- Ascertain the transferability of Community Learning Champions Model to urban areas
- To engage non-learners in higher level skills, and progression to more structured learning.
Working with partners in Todmorden, Halifax and Wakefield the project is developing and
testing the transferability of methodologies and resources targeted at engaging non-learners.
This is being carried out through informal learning opportunities and learners have shown an
interest in continuing to a higher level with their learning.
Update
The project was a great success in West Yorkshire. 18 learners were ASET accredited Community Learning Champions and upto 60 learners completed the QuicNezee ASET qualification at Entry Level and Level 1.
The Level 2 QuicNezee product, MyWebLife, has been developed. This is an interactive program that will 'teach through doing', which is characteristic of the QuicNezee learning suite. Learners used the program to create their own web page, which on completion was uploaded to a special website for the learners. The program was piloted to 20 learners in March 2005.
