Telenovel

This project, with partners from a range of Member States and where the lead partner is from Slovenia, is essentially a rural community opportunity for the over 50's. The aim is to encourage rurally isolated communities to develop their digital and language skills by producing a soap opera in another language - in the case of the UK - Spanish! Roy Smith has been using his experience in video production with Yorkshire Television and Pictures of Health. This has included a workshop on script-writing with 42 people speaking seven languages held in Wolfen in September 2009. We look forward to seeing the final results later in 2010 after filming in Valladolid, Spain in April.
